Noah

After the fall of Adam , God promised to provide man with a Redeemer . There was coming of a Savior on the earth. It is the grace of God that God had provided a sacrifice for Adam and Eve. This is God's way for man's salvation. It is a gift of God. Man can not earn it through works. Man's way is the way of the devil that leads to man's destruction. Man's way does not recognize man's sin. Man tried to get his own salvation through his own efforts. He wears his works of fig leaves. It is unacceptable to God because man has not admit his sin. Cain and Abel are representatives of the two ways. Abel trusted God's way salvation. Cain followed the devil's way to destruction. God's way of the saved and Satan's way of the lost. The way of the broken-spirited and the way of self-righteous. The situation has not changed . There are two ways. The devil's way to man's destruction. And God's way to salvation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth , the life. No man can come unto the Father but by me. Noah had faith in God. He trusted the Lord for his salvation. God was unhappy because most of the people were wicked .God decided to destroy all the wicked people .God saw one righteous man named Noah. The son of Lamech, Noah found favor with God because he was blameless in his generation. God went to Noah and told him that He was going to send a flood to destroy all the wicked people. God also told him that He would save Noah and his family. Noah believed God so he did everything God told him. God gave instructions to Noah to build a giant ark. It would hold two of every animal. When Noah was building the ark , people laughed and laughed at Noah God was unhappy because most of the people were wicked ..God decided to destroy all the wicked people .God saw one righteous man named Noah. And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son. And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed. And Lamech lived after he begot Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begot sons and daughters. And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years and he died. And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Gen 5:28-32) And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

For one hundred twenty years Noah preached to them, while God wait patiently for them turn to Him. They were wicked. Which sometime were disobedient, when once the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah , while the ark was a-preparing , wherein few that is , eight souls were saved by water ( 1 Peter 3:18-19) And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

The sons of God are the godly line who have come from Adam through Seth. The daughters of men are from the line that come down from Cain. When the two lines joined together through intermingling and intermarriage an almost corrupted line was produced.

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The corruption of man repented the Lord.

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repents me that I have made them.(Gen 6:1-7)

God was unhappy because most of the people were wicked. God decided to destroy all the wicked people

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.( Gen 6:8)

God saw one righteous man named Noah. The son of Lamech, Noah, found favor with God because he was blameless in his generation.

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. And Noah begot three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. (Gen 6:9-13)

God went to Noah and told him that He was going to send a flood to destroy all the wicked people. God also told him that He would save Noah and his family. Noah believed God so he did everything God told him. God gave instructions to Noah to build a giant ark.

Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shall thou make in the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is the fashion which thou shall make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. A window shall thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shall thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shall thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shall thou make it. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. (Gen 6:14-17)

Noah had faith in the Lord for his survival. Noah built the ark according to God's commandment. The ark had to be strong enough to withstand the powerful forces of the terrible storm. The ark had only one door. Christ said , I am the way and I am the door to the sheepfold . And the Lord Jesus is the door to the ark.

But with you will I establish my covenant; and you shall come into the ark, you, and your sons, and your wife, and your sons' wives with you.

It is a covenant of grace. It is the same truth throughout the Bible. Man has fallen. By the grace of God, the Lord Jesus redeems the fallen man. Man¡¦s salvation is a gift of God. It is not by the works of man. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe shall not perish but have everlasting life. First you have to believe in the Lord. Believing is having faith in God's plan for our salvation. Noah believed in God's plan for his salvation. To show his faith in God, Noah shall make an ark of gopher according to God's instructions. To show his faith in God, Noah shall come into ark. God promised to keep Noah and his family alive in the ark. And Noah believed in the Lord. Noah's faith defeated all the unrighteous reasoning. To build such a huge ark required years and years of hard labor and expense. To gather all the food and to care for all the animals require from him a great deal of care. And most of all he needed faith in the Lord to continue in his labor when his neighbor laughed and ridiculed him.

And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shall thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto you, to keep them alive. And take you unto you of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to you; and it shall be for food for you, and for them. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Noah was faithful to the Lord when he did according to God's commandments. Noah was obedient to the Lord. Noah accepted God's provision for his salvation. Thus Noah was righteous before the Lord.

And the LORD said unto Noah, Come you and all your house into the ark; for you have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beast you shall take to you by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.(Gen 6:18-7:4) Bible people
