Abraham's Prayer For Lot

13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. (Gen 13:13) 20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; 21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. 22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD. 23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Will you also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: will you also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? 25 That be far from you to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from you: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? 26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes. 27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes: 28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: will you destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it. 29 And he spoke unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake. 30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there. 31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake. 32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake. 33 And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

EXAMPLES OF GOD'S JUDGMENT

- Wicked angels - The flood - Sodom and Gomorrah 1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not. (2 Peter 3;1-3) There were false prophets among the people of Israel in the Old Testament. But today there are false teachers , even there shall be false teachers among you Many false followers will follow their pernicious ways. False followers will follow false teachers. Jesus said , My sheep hear my voice , and they will not follow a false shepherd(John10:27) The false followers follow the false teachers because they shall speak evil against the truth. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you whose judgment now of a long time linger not, and their damnation plumbers not , Through covetousness shall they formed their words , as from clay , wax , stone , plastic. They their words to make merchandise of you. Their judgment linger not and their damnation slumber not. 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; God created the angels with a free will.Apparently some of the angels exercise their free will to follow Satan in his rebellion against God. Before God made man , there was another creation. God created angels before God created man. There was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the rebellious angels. God cast them down to hell , and delivered them into chains of darkness , to be reserved into judgment. But not all the rebellious fallen angels are chained in darkness. They are very active in the world. 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; (2 Peter 2:5) God saved eight people. There were seven others with Noah. Noah and his wife, his three sons , their wives are eight persons who came through the flood. 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) (2 Peter 2:6-8) It was torture for Lot to live in Sodom.Lot was vexed with the filthy conservation of the wicked. Lot was tired down with toil of resisting the darts of the filthy conversation of the wicked. Lot was tormented by the filthy conversations and deeds of the wicked. For that righteous man Lot dwelling among them , in seeing and hearing day to day with their unlawful deeds. God delivered just Lot. Lot was justified in the sight of God. God delivered just Lot , vexed with the filthy conversations and the manner of activities of the wicked. Lot was a just man because Lot was justified before God. Lot trusted God just as Abraham trusted God . 9 The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. (2 Peter 2:9-10) But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness. All their filthy mind walk after the flesh in the lust of all their heart for uncleanness. They are lower than animals . They delight in being vulgar , vile, and vicious. And these brute beasts despise the spiritual government of God. They despise that which is ordained by God. Presumptuous are they. They are daredevils that speak with filth that come from their blaspheming hearts. These brute beasts are self-willed, doing their own evil things. The brute beasts are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. They are not afraid to speak evil of the glories of God. They speak evil of that which is holy. They take the name of God in vain. These daredevils are not afraid to speak evil of the dignities , of glories of God, of the government of God. 11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. (2 Peter 2:11) These false teachers are puffed up with pride when they speak evil. Whereas the angels , which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. We need to follow Michael, the archangel and the angels in being humble before God. We need to manifest a spirit of humility. We need to turn all to God. 12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; (2 Peter 2:12) These natural brute beasts are like wild animals. These beasts are made to be taken and destroyed. They have descended to the level of hopelessness. They speak evil of things that they understand not. These false teachers shall utterly perish in their corruption. And these false teachers shall receive the reward of unrighteousness. These false teachers count it pleasure to riot in the day time. They are spots and blemishes. They sport themselves with their own deceiving , while they feast with you. Their eyes are full of adultery. Cursed children, they cannot cease from sin , beguiling unstable souls. They have a heart exercised with covetous practices. The false teachers have forsaken the right way and are gone astray. On the outside , the natural brute beasts look religious. The natural brute beasts do some form of motion and works but their are not right with God. The natural brute beasts have corrupt hearts. The false teachers are like wild beasts. These beasts are made to be taken and destroyed. They have descended to the level of hopelessness. They speak evil of things that they understand not. These false teachers shall utterly perish in their corruption. 13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceiving while they feast with you; 14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: a heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: (2 Peter 2:13-14) The hearts of the false teachers are corruption. When their minds are corrupted , they are going to act wrong. When their hearts are corrupted , they walk the wrong way and are astray , following the wrong way of Balaam the son of Bosar , who loved the wages of unrighteousness. Balaam knew that he should not go and prophesy against Israel. Balaam did it because he loved the price that was offered to him to prophesy against Israel. The way of Balaam is the covetousness of a person who performs religious for personal profit. 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbade the madness of the prophet. (2 Peter 2:15-16) But Balaam was rebuked for his iniquity. The devil gives the sinner the wages of unrighteousness. The wages of unrighteousness is a heart of a wild beast. The wages of unrighteousness is lunatic. The mind is not thinking right. The heart is not right. The false teachers have forsaken the right way , and are gone astray, following the lunatic of Balaam But was rebuked for his iniquity . The dumb ass speaking with a man's voice forbade the lunatic madness of the prophet, 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. (2 Peter 2:17) These false teachers are wells without water. They are empty clouds that are carried with a tempest. God have reserved for them a mist of darkness forever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. (2 Peter 2:18) For when these false teachers speak great swelling words of uselessness , they allure through the lusts of the flesh , through much lewdness and sexual excesses. It is a false religion that appeals to the senses .It appeals to the eyes. This false religion appeals to the ear . This false religion appeals to the nose. They are the lust of the flesh. They are the desires of the flesh . These false teachers allure through the lust of the flesh, through much wantonness 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. (2 Peter 2:19) While the false teachers promise them freedom , they themselves are servants of corruption . While they promise others liberty , they themselves are enslaved in corruption. The false teachers are overcome by corruption. They don't really know freedom . They are brought in bondage with corruption. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollution of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. (2 Peter 2:20) These false teachers are aware of the truth. But they have to love for the truth. They reject the truth and became enslaved in corruption. These false teachers think that they are very religious. They belong to a certain church. These false teachers don't believe the Bible is really the Word of God, but they talk a lot about love and brotherhood. These false teachers have clean escaped from the pollution. But they became enslaved in some sort of corruption. Through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they were able to escape the pollution of the world. But afterward they are again entangled in corruption. And they are overcome by the corruption. They have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ over hundreds of times. These false teachers are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. (2 Peter 2:21-22)

JESUS WILL RETURN

(2 PETER 3) Jesus will return and God's judgment will happen. God is patient. Live the right way. The full knowledge of God , and of Lord Jesus Christ is the foundation on which the believer's character is built.

GENESIS 19

1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; 2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and you shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. 3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat. 4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to you this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. 8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do you to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. 9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with you, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. 11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door. 12 And the men said unto Lot, Have you here any besides? son in law, and your sons, and your daughters, and whatsoever you have in the city, bring them out of this place: 13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD has sent us to destroy it. 14 And Lot went out, and spoke unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law. 15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take your wife, and your two daughters, which are here; lest you be consumed in the iniquity of the city. 16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. (Genesis 19:1-16) 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 9 The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: (2 Peter 2:6-9) 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. (2Peter 2:2 ) 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. ( 2Peter 2:18) 17 You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. (2Peter 3:17) 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude1:4) 17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for your life; look not behind you, neither stay you in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest you be consumed. 18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: 19 Behold now, your servant has found grace in your sight, and you have magnified your mercy, which you have showed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: 20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. 21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted you concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which you have spoken. 22 Haste you, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till you be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. 23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. 24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; 25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. 26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. 27 And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD: 28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace. 29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt. 30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters. 31 And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth: 32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. 33 And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. 34 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father : let us make him drink wine this night also; and go you in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our Father. 35 And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. 36 Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. 37 And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day. 38 And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day (Genesis 19:17-36) --------------------------------- Title: LOT A LIVING EPISTLE OF JESUS CHRIST ISBN 13 : 978-1-928153-37-5(HTML) Author: Anthony Ing Publication Year: 2017
