IMMANUEL : GOD WITH US
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14) Under the inspiration of God, Isaiah wrote of events centuries before his time. By faith, Isaiah wrote of Christ. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, The Book of Isaiah was written about seven hundred years before Christ. Isaiah's writing about God's redemptive plan of God in Christ is so clear that Isaiah has been called the evangelical prophet. These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him. (John 12:41) Isaiah saw the glory of our Lord and spoke of them. The Lord himself shall give a sign. What sign ? Yes. A Saviour. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11) It is Divinely given. The sign involves the miracle of the virgin birth of Christ. His very name Immanuel means with us is God. With us , human beings , is God. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John3:16) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John 1:1-4) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) God Himself became a man in the person of His Son. The incarnation of Christ is now a glorious reality, and a wonderful fact. In Christ we see the Son of God, but we also see in Him God incarnate. God became one of us. Christ is still God. Christ did not cease to be God, but became a man also. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. (Matthew 1:18-25) And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, you that are highly favoured, the Lord is with you: blessed are you among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for you have found favour with God. And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:26-35) Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory (1 Timothy 3:16) The Holy Spirit verifies the mystery of the incarnation to your heart, that Christ's coming in the flesh was not in vain. Christ coming in the flesh, identifies himself with the sinful man. He was in the world, and the world was made by him , and the world knew him not. (John 1:10) For he shall grow up before God as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he has no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. (Isaiah 53:2) Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. (Isaiah 7:15) The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined. (Isaiah 9:2) Jesus came not just to identifies with mankind. He also came to reconcile the world unto God. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (2 Cor 5:18-19) God has done so much for your redemption. Now you are without excuse. How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; (Hebrews 2:3) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (2 Cor 5:19)THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined. (Isaiah 9:2) That was the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world (John 1:9) Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. (Isaiah 9:1) God is the source of light and life. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (Genesis 1:3) David said, The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1) The Light drives out the darkness of mankind and the world. All things were made by him; and without him not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:3-5) The light shines in darkness, and the darkness has never put it out. We know that there is much darkness and evil in the world. We can not get rid of the darkness by throwing it out . If we wish to get rid of the darkness, we must let the light shine. When the light shines, the darkness is defeated. When God sent His Son into the world, God sent light into the world. No darkness has been able to put the light out. We defeat the evil darkness of the world by shining Jesus the Light of the world. Christ shines in the words and deeds of His true disciples. Jesus said, A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another (John 13:34-35) Jesus is the truth. Jesus is the Light which lights every person who comes into the world. He came to his own people and his own people receives him not. But as many as receive him, to them gave He the power to be sons of God, even to them that believes His name. They were born , not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor the will of men, but of God. Jesus shines brightly in dark situations . Jesus brightens people's souls by giving them life. Jesus is the light which shines on all mankind. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the judgment, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 3:16-21) Whoever does what is righteous comes to the light in order that the light may show that what he did was in obedience to God. Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12) Jesus shines brightly and lights up spiritual truth. This Light illuminates spiritual truth and saves men from false judgments. Jesus said , I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6) Without truth there is no justice. Without truth there is no love. Without truth there is no hope. Jesus shines brightly in dark situations. Jesus brightens our souls by giving us life. In Jesus is love. And this love shines brightly in darkness. Jesus has said and is still saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall never walk in darkness but shall have the light of life. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105) If we know the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will know the truth. And the truth will make us free. We will be free to love according to God's perfect pattern of love. Christ will shine in us to give light to the world so that our Lord God will be glorified. Jesus is the true light that reveals the true way for us to and live. Whosoever follows Jesus shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. we must let Christ shine in our lives before the world with the help of the Holy Spirit so that the world may see our good works of love and glorify God.THE PRINCE OF PEACE
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it has lighted upon Israel. (Isaiah 9:6-8) You , have given them great joy , Lord. You have made them happy , Lord. Lord , they rejoice before you as a people rejoice at the harvest, because you have broken the yoke of their burden. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined. (Isaiah 9:2) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14) Christ came in the flesh. The Son was born for the benefit of us sinners. Christ was made flesh for the benefit of all sinners. Christ is with us as our Wonderful Counselor .God is our wisdom in Christ. God is with us in Christ as our mighty God. God is our strength in Christ. God loves us. Christ loves us. Our Father God always agrees with Christ Jesus, the Son of God. God is with us in Christ as our everlasting Father. God is with us in Christ as our peace. Christ is the Prince of peace. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined. (Isaiah 9:2) In this scripture verse the prophet Isaiah announced to a despairing, hopeless, and frustrated world the coming of the Prince of peace. People have tried to organize human lives without God. Because they do not believe in God, they have transferred their faith to man. They have doctrines and teachings which are the worships of humanity. It has its roots in the devil, is the liar. The worship of human nature is popular because it feeds on people's selfishness and pride. They wanted to be idols. They have been tricked by the devil in their foolish thinking. The devil brings them fear. God gives comfort and peace. The devil brings darkness. The people that walked in darkness. They dwell in the land of the shadow of death. In the valley of the shadow of death, if they receive not the Light, they will perish . To them who perished, it is not the valley of the shadow of death. They are lost. They have perished in the valley of death. To those who perished , it is sting of death is not a shadow. It is very real. Those who follows Christ are not afraid of shadows. Christ has defeated death when he died and was resurrected . Death was swallowed up in Christ's victory over death. For the believers , death is only a shadow that can not harm them. They have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ to give them everlasting life. God gives comfort and peace to the believer. Christ is the Light of the world and shines His love upon us. It is quite clear that the unsaved man without the help of God will take wide road of destruction, and judgment, and hell. Many people believed that God has made the world, but they are saying, " I wish that God is more personal to me". This is exactly what God did. God became more personal when Jesus was born in Bethlehem. God was made flesh, and dwelt among us. God became a human being in the person of Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. The only Begotten Son , who is the same as God and is at the Father's right side, He has made God known. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined. (Isaiah 9:2) For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost. What a wonderful and glorious hope we have because Christ is our hope. Come to Jesus , all you who are tired from carrying heavy burdens. And Jesus will give you rest.Come to Jesus , all of you who labour and are heavy laden. And Jesus will give you rest. The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they mighs have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John10:10) Many people find life a burden. They are lonely. They are laboring in vain. They are broken hearted. They are frustrated. Only unrest and turmoil fill their days. They have no purpose and no hope. Their hearts ache with emptiness. An emptiness that can not be filled with things of this world. Their suffering need not to be. They should not be suffering in their darkness. Jesus can light their world and brighten their lives with love and joy. The Jesus Christ stands at the door of our heart and knocks, saying, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ) (Revelation 3:20) In the midst of suffering, and sorrows, Christ has come to share our burdens because He loves us. In the midst of problems and the wars of the world, you can have peace in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is saying to us, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27) Now will you accept Jesus into your heart as the Lord and savior of your life ? If you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior , the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.CHRIST'S MESSAGE
(Isaiah 61:1-3) The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. (Isaiah 61:1-3) Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. (Matthew 5:4) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19) Jesus said, The blind shall receive their sight, and the lame shall walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed are those people who have faith in me. Hearken, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him? (James 2:5) The Good News profit before folks who receive it with spirit, Christ preached the good tidings. Blessed are the meek , for they shall inherit the earth. Christ frees us from the bondage of sin. Christ makes us free. Christ is the Comforter. Christ comforts those who mourn and who seeks Him. By Christ , the sinners may be set free from the bonds of guilt and from the bondage of corruption. Christ shines light to those who sat in darkness. Christ is the Light of the world. Jesus is full of grace and truth. Jesus is the Light in dark situations, because Jesus shines brightly in darkened souls, by giving them life. They who follow Christ shall never walk in darkness but shall have the light of life. Christ gives sight to those who are blind. Jesus is the Light that reveals the truth and the way for us to love. Therefore let His love in us shine before the world so that they may see our good works and glorify our Lord.SERVANT OF GOD
A great multitudes of people followed Jesus .And He healed them. And Jesus charged them that they should not make him known: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust. (Matt 12:16-21) Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. (Isaiah 42:1-4) This prophecy was fulfilled in Christ. He is gentle with those people who , as a bruised reed , are oppressed with doubts and fear. Those people who are smoking flax are like the wick of a newly lighted lamp, which is ready to go out. A smoking flax shall he not quench. Christ Jesus will not put out their light. Christ Jesus will give them light. Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12) The Holy Spirit is upon Him. Jesus shines brightly and lights us the truth. Light illuminates truth and saves people from false judgment. Jesus is full of grace and truth. Jesus is the truth. Thus said the Lord, He who created the heavens, and stretched them out ; He who stretched forth the earth, and that which comes out of it. He who gives breath unto the people upon it , and spirit to them that walk therein. I the Lord have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you , and give you for a covenant of people, for a light of the Gentiles ; To open eyes, to bring out the prisoners from prison. And God said, It is a light thing that you shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. Thus said the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose you. Thus said the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you: and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; That you mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them. (Isaiah 49:6-10) And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst. (John6:35) Jesus said, Every one drinks this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the who that I shall give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.THE MIRACLE OF CHRIST
The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them. And the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as a rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing. Everyone shall see the glory of the Lord, and the greatness of our Lord. God gives strength to the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not> Don't be discouraged. God is coming to your rescue. God will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. (Isaiah 35:5-6) Therefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees. And make straight the paths for your feet, so that the lame foot may not be disabled, but let it rather be healed. Jesus said, The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. (Matt 11:5-6) And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. (Luke 7:21) Then Jesus answering unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. (Luke 7:22-23) The lame will leap and dance. The deaf will hear. The blind will see. Those who can not speak will shout for joy. Christ the Lord will save them. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. (Isaiah 35:7-10)CHRIST'S SUFFERING
I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting (Isaiah 50:6) Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, (Matt 26:67) And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands (Mark 14:65) He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. (Isaiah 53:11) But though Jesus has done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not him ; that saying, of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which spoke, Who has believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? (Isaiah 53:1) Therefore they could not believe because that Isaiah said again. He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their hearts; that they should not see with their heart , and be converted, and I should heal them These things said Isaiah , when he saw His glory, and spoke of them But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? (Romans 10:16) Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (Isaiah 53:4) When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare sicknesses. (Matt 8:16-17) Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (Isaiah 53:4) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:21-24) All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6) For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. (1 Peter 2:25) He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. (Isaiah 53:7) And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. (Revelation 5:6) He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth (Isaiah 53:8-9) The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. (Acts 8:32-35) Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he has poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:12) And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, And he was numbered with the transgressors. (Luke 22:37) Jesus said, For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. (Luke 22:37)CHRIST'S RESURRECTION
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he has poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:10-12) Behold, my servant shall deal prudently. He shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. (Isaiah 52:13) It was the will of God that Jesus should suffer for our sins. Christ's death was a sacrifice to bring forgiveness to believer. Through Christ , God's purpose will succeed. After a life of suffering Jesus has joy. Christ knew that He did not suffer in vain. Christ took away the sin of the world. The wages of sin is death. Christ has never sinned, but he made himself subject to death. Whatever is done according to God's pleasure shall prosper. By faith we are justified through Christ. We must believe in Christ, for He bore our sins, and saved us from death. He suffered under the load of our guilt. We can rest our soul in Christ. We are purposed by His precious blood. Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. The death Christ died was an atoning death. He died for our sins. The atoning death of Christ was foretold by Isaiah. Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5) For our transgression was He stricken. Paul wrote, Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. The people were able to confirm that Christ had risen from the dead. They had seen the risen Christ. And they had talked to the risen Christ Jesus. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: Then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then said he to Thomas, Reach hither your finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither your hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed . (John 20:25-29) Of all the revelations of God, the resurrection of Christ is the most important. The Good News of Jesus Christ was promised long ago by God through His prophets, as it was written in the Scriptures. The Scriptures is about His Son our Lord Jesus Christ, who came as a human baby, born into king David's royal family line. And being raised from the dead, Jesus was proved to be the almighty Son of God, with the holy nature of God Himself. Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; you are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. (1Corinthians 15:12-16) If our hope in Christ is good for this life only, then we are of all people most miserable. if we never live again after we die, let us eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die ? don't be fooled by those people who say such things. If you listen to these liars ,you will start doing evil things like them. For these people do not have the knowledge of God. come back to your senses and stop sinning. Awake to righteousness and sin not. But the truth is that Christ has been raised from the dead , and became the first fruit of those who have been fallen asleep. Christ has been raised from the dead as the guarantee that those who sleep in death will also be raised. for just as death came by means of a man , in the same way the raising from death came by means of the Son of Man. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Just as all people die because their union with Adam, in the same way all will be raised to life because their union with Christ. But each one will be raised in his proper order. Christ is raised first of all . Then at His second coming , those who belong to Him will be raised. Then comes the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For Christ must reign, till He has put all enemies under His feet. http://www.peoplebible.com
